Tuning in Dallas
After having lived in Dallas from 2nd grade on, one gets a feeling for all the music being taught and performed in this area. I recall singing in Elem. School Classes. I played in orch. at Hill Jr High and Bryan Adams HS. I sang in the Bryan Adams chorus and took part in the performance of HMS Penifore by Gilbert and Sullivan. I had to skip taking Biology in order to work that into my schedule. Also played in Dal-Hi Orchestra which included students from Dallas ISD Schools. We had top notched orchestra directors.
It was good to tune pianos in DISD for a lot of years after I found a career in piano tuning and maintenance.
